WrestlingNerd Presents: WWE Raw 5/13/13 Review (WWE App!!! WWE App!!! WWE App!!!)

What up wrestling fans, I'm the WrestlingNerd bringing you another written review. Today we take a look at WWE Raw 5/13/13. How does the 'go-home' episode of Raw go? Let's find out and start the review.

Dancing with Bears
I love how King is overly impressed with Fandango's WM performance. Yeah, Fandango did the impossible of getting a rollup victory on somebody. I never would've imagined that. The King wants the audience to judge fairly and not make it a popularity contest. The WWE is nothing more than a popularity contest, so what the hell do you expect? I just find that line hilarious and silly at the same time. After Fandango charges up his attack and Jericho spews catchphrases, the dance-off finally begins. Fandango's dance partner falls to the ground within seconds. I'm guess WWE doesn't pay her enough to contribute to this 'amazing' scene, so she's sticking it to the man by doing nothing. After people show concern for her, Fandango uses this opportunity to attack Jericho from behind. After the attack, it's revealed that Summer Raye was completely fine and was faking it the whole time. Something tells me that isn't the first time she's faked something, but let's move on. Despite how it sounds, I actually enjoyed this segment. It was hammy, but that's what makes it entertaining. The build between Jericho/Fandango has been simply, but its been done pretty well. Proves how you don't need to over complicate things in order to make them interesting.

Your filler paragraph for the evening
PTP defeated Tons of Weight because of a comb…..a f***in' comb. I wish I was making this up, but this is the sad truth. What is this? Home Alone? Kofi Kingston defeated Damien Sandow in a short match. The real kicker with this match is the announcement of Kofi vs Dean Ambrose for the US Championship at ER. I'm starting to think Kofi only won the championship to shine it up for Dean. If that's the case, it wouldn't be the first time something like this has happened. I thought it would've been interesting to have Ambrose take the championship off of Cesaro since it shows Shield targeting everybody and not the usual 'face vs heel' formula. It also could've given Antonio something to do, but that's just my idea. Hey, at least it would stir the pot up a bit. Randy Orton defeated Antonio Cesaro with the RKO. Yeah, I'm so glad Antonio talked about how nobody can stop him. That's a good character development. There was a few other matches, but nothing worth talking about. What? Do you really want me to analyze Ryback/Ryder or AJ/Natalya? Seriously, you gotta lighten up.

Plan B: Sponsored by the WWE APP!!! YOU MUST DOWNLOAD IT TODAY!!!
Due to Dolph Ziggler receiving a concussion, he won't be competing at Extreme Rules. This forces WWE to make a change with the WHC picture. Instead of a triple threat ladder match, we get an 'I Quit' match between Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger. The winner of the match will be the #1 Contender to the WHC. Yeah, I'm a bit disappointed with Plan B, but I can't harp on them too much since they're against a wall in this situation. Still, I think they could do better than an 'I Quit' match. Not sure what type of match I would want to see, but I know there are better gimmicks available. To be fair, there's always a chance this match could impress, but it just doesn't feel right. To fill the void, Big E will either go up against Del Rio or Swagger via the WWE App. Have you downloaded today? Pick up this extreme device as you watch pointless interviews. See the world blow before your eyes as you hear talking! Witness how amazing it is to vote! For God sakes, how much more product pushing can you force? Seriously, you're three advertisements away from reaching Michael Bay territory. Oh, what a mess. Swagger wins the poll since the audience wanted to see Swagger get punished by Blackzilla. You can tell WWE wasn't really prepared for Swagger/Big E since it ended in a countout. It literally looked like both guys talked about the ending during the match. After the awkward finish, Del Rio shows up and takes out both guys to stand tall. There really isn't much to say since we've talked about Swagger/Del Rio in the past. It's amazing how Swagger's stock dropped when Zeb Coulter got less racist. Coincidence? I highly doubt it.

Did he say 'strap on' or 'strap-on'?
Mark Henry and Sheamus will compete in a strap match. If you aren't familiar with a strap match, it's very similar to a bull rope match. The only difference is instead of a bull rope, you use whatever is left of your dignity. You touch all four corners of the posts without being interrupted. If your opponent stops you, you have to start the process all over again. I don't know about you, but a strap/bull rope match is more predictable than a John Cena match. Every bull rope match I've seen has ended with one guy touching all the corners while the guy touches them from behind. They both have three corners touched until the climax finally caves for one guy to get that final corner. In fact, I expect Henry to drag Sheamus for a bit while that silly Irishman will start touching the post while he isn't looking. Don't be shocked if this is what happens at ER. That's my prediction and I'm sticking with it.

WWE Championship picture
This was a pretty entertaining elimination match. Shield took out Team Hell No and despite this, Cena almost manages to pull off the victory. I'm surprised WWE didn't have Cena just beat Shield by just staring at all of them while flying around the arena. It's down to Cena and Ambrose until the rest of Shield attacks to cause a DQ. WWE had to make Cena look like Superman and needed to keep the Shield strong, so I guess this is the best way to go. I know people will argue that it's a cop-out, but what do you expect for free television? After the match, Ryback attacks Cena with a steel chair, thus building up Cena's injury. It wouldn't surprise me if Cena did get banged up overseas, but I think WWE is playing it up more than usual to give Ryback some ammo for Sunday. O'Ryback Rules!!!

Brock and Trips
Triple H and Brock Lesnar had some very basic buildup. It wasn't anything amazing, but it at least tries to get you into the match. They are building this as the final confrontation. I really hope they live up to that build. Since I haven't been blown away by the first two matches, I hope there's something in this match that really pulls me in. I know I'm in the minority when I wasn't impressed with their match at WM 29, but that's just the way I see it. One thing for certain is I will never say anything bad about the build for this rivalry. While I may not be big on the matches, they have done a great job in making them intriguing.

Overall Impression:
This is about what I expected in a 'go-home' episode of Raw. While the action was very lacking in tonight's show, I'm usually willing to forgive it because the Raw on the week of a PPV usually doesn't contain a lot of action since they're protecting the wrestlers. The only match I found enjoyable was the elimination match. I honesty think you can miss everything else and be fine. The show is mostly 'okay' and that's that. There was a lot of announcements regarding Extreme Rules. There were several matches announced for the show. How does the PPV look going in? Well….That's a bit tricky. There are a few matches worth checking out since it will be interesting to see if Shield will take two championships or if Ryback will truly rule, but I'm also not fully in-love with the card. The PPV does have potential to be something, but it can also flop. I really hope that isn't the case, but we will have to wait until Sunday to find out. Tell me what you thought of my review or tonight's show. See you guys and girls in the next one.

WrestlingNerd Presents: TNA Impact Wrestling 5/9/13 Review (Monster's Week)

What up wrestling fans, I'm the WrestlingNerd bringing you another written review. Today we take a look at TNA Impact Wrestling 5/9/13. What's going on in TNA Land? Let's find out and begin.

Sting gets another world title match at Slammiversary?
We open up the show with Kurt Angle and the #1 Contender to the TNA World Title, Sting. Sigh…..Okay, this is something I need to talk about right off the bat since I've missed the last couple of TNA reviews. In last week's show, Sting defeated Matt Morgan to become the #1 Contender to the world title yet again. It's amazing how many times Sting has had world title match at Slammiversary. They should just call it "Stinger's Night'. It's getting very old. Not only that, but he finds himself in the main event again. Sting really needs to either consider retiring or just being a part-time performer. I know some will argue that he's technically part-time, but it's really hard for me to buy that argument when the man competes in more matches than he really should. Sting definitely has the ambition for this company and there's certainly nothing wrong with that, but he should be more in a role where he mostly helps TNA behind the scenes and have a wrestling schedule similar to Triple H and Undertaker. Sting can offer a ton of leadership with the younger talent behind the scenes, but that's just the way I see it. Plus, it gets very redundant to see this being TNA's answer for anything. Oh geeze, we need somebody to fill in for the top bill in one of our PPVs. What should we do? Hey, let's use Sting since we have done that five-million times in the past. Genius!!!

Meanwhile, at the Counsel of Elders, Sting and Kurt try to recruit AJ Styles to be on their team. Yeah, pissing off your potential partner isn't the best way to lure him towards your side. Since it seems TNA isn't exactly sure what to do with Styles, he just walks away and we still get no answers as to where Styles' allegiance lies. During all the arguing, Bully Ray and Devon hit the 3D on Sting. I love how Mike Tenay is completely freaking out over the fact Sting got hit with the 3D. You think he would have other things on his mind, but Sting getting hit by a 3D for the first time warrants a surprise for him. Styles leaves the arena in disgust, but I honest think he left the production. I'm going home…..F*** this show….

Knockout/Fanservice time
I love how the commentators explain the origins of Velvet winning the title in February. I can't even remember what happened in the KO division last week. And you want me to remember something that happened in this division in February? Your expectations are too high. Velvet wins the match for her team. Instead of foreshadowing that Mickie James heel turn (Which has been on and off for months…..Just do it already. What the hell are you waiting for?), they have Gail and Tara fight. Why? What's the purpose of this? While I command TNA for doing other things with the KOs besides the championship, I feel they are cramming in too much with this division. You have the KO championship, you have Gail's bitchiness, you have Taryn's 'increased' stock, and Mickie's motives. It just feels like too much is going on at one time. It could be a problem if you don't learn how to space things out. This has been one of TNA's issues in the past, but maybe they can get a better handle on things now. I can at least hope.

Tension in the club house
Because of D'Lo quitting against Kurt Angle, Aces & Eights seems to be quitting on him. What about all that crap that you never walk alone in the Aces & Eights? It was a matter of time for the stable to start turning on their members, but is D'Lo being in the Card Games' doghouse really that important? His presence in the stable is so minor that it's hard for me to buy this as a big deal. D'Lo wanted to prove himself by defeating Magnus, but Bully elects DOC to do the deed. Magnus picked up a rollup victory since D'Lo screwed up. Oh no, he lost his jacket and is now a prospect. What will he do now? Find out next week on Aces & S**** Theatre.

Bottoms up!!!
Austin Aries needs to keep it in his pants. He's over here trying to shove his crotch at Christy Hemme. Wait until the show's over, dammit! Bad Influence and Greatest Factor bribe James Storm with beer so they could better their chances at the tag titles. It doesn't work for either team since the match ended in a No Contest when Storm beat up both teams. I think you're drunk, Storm. This puts the tag titles situation in the air, which means a triple threat tag match is apparently. If that's what ends up happening, there was no change between PPVs in the tag division. The only difference is the team holding onto the gold. And the writers aren't lazy? In the X Division, Kenny King talks about giving Chris Sabin a golden shower…..what? A golden shower? I don't think I want to watch this anymore. I know I should comment more about the X Division, but here's the thing. I don't care. It's great that Sabin is back after all those complications, but he works better with Motor City Machine Guns. Unfortunately, MCMG is out of commission until Alex Shelley gets a contract. The scene was boring since both guys cut bland promos. Yeah, that excitement just leaps out of this scene. Look at it go!!!

Monsters are lawyers
Since Styles said 'f*** it', Magnus is taking a nap on a construction site and James Storm has succumb to alcohol poisoning, Hulk Hogan calls one more guy to help Sting and Angle in the six-man tag match. As the match is near the end, Abyss makes his return and takes out the Aces & Eights by himself. One guy beat up eight people on this own? This is the worst stable ever! The show ends with the fans reacting somewhat surprised to the return. Okay, I'll say this. Abyss' return does make for a surprise, but I just haven't cared for the Abyss character in years. I haven't even cared much for the Joseph Park character. The man is doing a fair job in playing both roles, but I'm not really excited now that TNA is deciding to either use both characters individually or go with the 'Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde' approach. The moment was shocking, but you quickly remember that it's the return of a guy who NEVER left. Kinda hard to get that excited, but that's just me. If you're an Abyss fan, you will enjoy this scene. If you don't care for Abyss, I would expect you to not care for the scene. The biggest shock is finding out Abyss owns a phone.

Overall Impression:
Tonight's show was okay. I wouldn't call it great, but I don't think it was terrible. This mostly falls in the average territory. While Abyss' return can make for a surprise, I think it wears off pretty quickly since I've never been much of a fan for Abyss. If you like Abyss, that's fine with me. I personally don't have an issue with that, but I will always think of him as a Kane/Mick Foley hybrid. I didn't really like the ending of the show, but there was still other stuff to enjoy. The majority of the matches were fun to watch and some of the scenes being played out were hilarious bad at times. That has to be worth something, right? That does it for the review and I hope you enjoyed it. Tell me what you thought of the review or tonight's show. I will see you guys and girls in the next one.

WrestlingNerd Presents: WWE Raw 5/6/13 Review (Ryback's Catchphrase)

What up wrestling fans, I'm the WrestlingNerd bringing you another written review. Today, we take a look at WWE Raw 5/6/13. Let's just dive into this and begin.

Cena's attempt at going viral
What is Cena's fetish with Betty White? He mentions her all the time. The man sounds confused. Ryback vs John Cena in a Whine-Off match. Or as I like to call it, the IWC match. BA-ZING!!! I'll admit that Cena's Ryback impression was pretty funny, but he stretched it out longer than he needed to. What this opening tells us is Cena will compete at ER and it will be a Last Man Standing match. Either Cena wins or maybe duct tape takes its revenge out on Cena. Looks like Cena better say his prayers and take his Flintstones vitamins. Come here, Ryback's hungry!!!

Snakes in a Ring
Highlight of the night goes to Damien Sandow's song. The lyrics were a nice touch. It was the first time I had seen personality shine through in that song. After the Vintage Orton, Randy hits an RKO for the victory. Orton has defeated both members of Rhodes Scholars in two weeks. Yeah…..that's exciting. It's about as exciting as Randy's rivalry with Big Show. Randy really needs to turn heel. I think a change of a pace for him would be a good thing. And I can also use a break from Orton's 'good guy' routine.

Faaaaaaaaaandaaaaaaaaaaan…
It finally occurred to me. Fandango's pronunciation of his name is very similar to Dragonball Z when Goku's charging up his Kamehameha. I can't be the only one who thought this. Chris Jericho and Tons of Cholesterol gave Fandango a '0'. Finally, the moment you have been waiting for. Chris Jericho vs Fandango in a dance-off…..ohhohhhhohhhhohhhh. It was almost inevitable for this to happen based on Jericho's track record. As long as it's entertaining to some degree, I don't really care if they do this segment. If it turns into a train wreck, we'll talk about that next week…..sigh.

We The Ladders
While Alberto Del Rio and Dolph Ziggler are beating the crap out of each other, Jack Swagger and Zeb Coulter decide to do commentary. The match ends in a no contest because….Hell, you need a reason? After the match, Swagger takes out Del Rio and Dolph with a ladder. Swagger mad!!! Swagger smash!!! GRRR!!! That was pretty much all the build you got for the WHC match this week. They did a lot of build last week and I thought they did a decent job to follow it up. Still, there are times where I feel they could do a lot more with the scene, especially Swagger. I guess it isn't gonna matter after ER. Swagger will probably dance his way into a US Championship since I see Dolph/Del Rio playing out for another 1-2 months. Hey, at least it would fit his whole 'We the People' deal?

Can't go a week without that filler
Khali used to be a police officer in India? Yeah, back when he had kneecaps. Apparently, he's gonna track down Kaitlyn's crush. If it isn't Hornswoggle, it will probably be some NXT guy who gets a silly gimmick. I don't know what to make of that. After the Shield raped the Usos and Kofi Kingston, Antonio squashes Zack Ryder. Hey, looks like Ryder's getting that television time he's been pleading for. Gotta start somewhere, right? After the match, Antonio claims that nobody in the WWE can defeat him….Except for the guy who kicked his ass on Main Event last week. Yeah, kinda forgot to mention that. Damn that short-term memory. Antonio Cesaro is the guy with the look and skills to make it further in the industry, but I just find his character boring. He never has anything interesting to say and I feel his charisma is being sheltered since he's having to play this Antonio character. I feel he can bring so much more to the table if they would just let him go out there and be himself and not this yodeling jackass. Hey, just my honest two cents.

Not the TV!!!
Triple H became a man in the middle of the ring? I don't think I want to watch this anymore. We get a video of Brock Lesnar destroying Triple H's office. This is what I like to call 'Staged Shots'. This is where the wrestling industry makes it look like it's real life stuff by mentioning a real name, but it just has that 'lights, camera, action' feel to it. I'll admit it's clever and it was pretty funny at times, but it's missing something. It makes Trips raiding Randy Orton's home seem so much more. Still, this was pretty entertaining. Pauly talks about Brock unleashing the beast to destroy Trips while Triple H says he's ready for the war. While I'm not very intrigued with the rematch, I can at least give them credit for trying to hype it up. They really have done a good job in building up these matches. That's definitely a good thing.

That's what I do!!!
Just as Mark Henry and Sheamus are about to fight, Wade Barrett comes out since it was originally scheduled to be Sheamus/Barrett tonight. I wouldn't be surprised if Wade had to pay money in order to appear on Raw tonight. That IC Championship really is the curse of the WWE. After Sheamus kicks Barrett's head off, Henry attacks by whipping Sheamus with a belt. Whipping people…..cuz that's what he does. It's interesting how that's become his catchphrase. It's kinda sad this isn't taking off as well as 'Ryback Rules'. The creative staff spent a whole week on that line. Sheamus and Henry will face each other at Extreme Rules. The winner of the match gets a jar of pennies. You laugh, but that jar of pennies holds more value than a mid-card championship. No joke.

Monsters Inc.
Since Ryback defeated Daniel Bryan last week, Kane wants to avenge his friend….

Maybe I'm being too harsh on this 'Ryback Rules' catchphrase, but it reminds me of Billy Madison with the ''O'Doyle Rules' guy. I just can't take this line seriously. Ryback beats Kane with the Shell Shock. After the match, Shield comes out t----are you kidding me? Is that the formula now? Every time Ryback and/or Cena have a match, have the Shield come out? Is that really the master plan? I'm sorry, but it's getting a little old. Ryback leaves the fight and lets Kane deal with them. Bryan and Cena come out to even the odds….I think. Kane kinda just rolled out of the ring during all of this. Where did he go? I really want to know where Kane disappeared to after this? That was probably the biggest question out of this scene. Ryback jumps in the ring with a steel chair and they manage to take out Shield….sort of. Ryback finally kills Cena with a steel chair to end of show. I guess Ryback rules this evening…..Yeah, I got nothing. As far as LMS match goes, it seems like an interesting idea. I'm not loving the idea, but I don't completely hate it.

Overall Impression:
This show fell into the average territory. There wasn't anything overly amazing about it, but I wouldn't call it a bad show. It just falls right around the middle. Seems that's been happening a lot with these three hour shows. I'm not sure if I have given my full thoughts on three hour Raws, but I honestly think they need to go back to two hours. It shouldn't feel draining or tiring to watch a television show. TV is a time to kick back and enjoy, but something's wrong if it feels exhausting to watch a show. I still want to watch the show on a weekly basis, but I think WWE is biting off more than they can chew with these three hour shows. Most of the time, they do nothing with that extra hour except recap stuff that happened earlier in the night. How is that a good use of time? If they used the extra hour to flesh out the storylines further, I would have no problems with three hour Raws, but that has not been the case since WWE made the move back in July 2012. Well, I better wrap this up. Tell me what you thought of the review or tonight's show and I will see you guys and girls in the next one.

WrestlingNerd Presents: WWE Raw 4/29/13 Review (Brought to you by Domino's Pizza)

What up wrestling fans, I'm the WrestlingNerd bringing you another written review. Today, we take a look at WWE Raw 4/29/13/. How does the last Raw measure up? Let's find out and begin.

WWE's Sidekicks
The first match of the night features the various sidekicks from the WHC picture. Zeb stands on the sidelines since he saw somebody eat some french fr--FREEDOM fries. That's what they're called in Jack Swagger's 'Merica. What's up with Ricardo's pants? I didn't realize we're back in the '80s. Actually, that's kinda ironic since you have Dolph Ziggler standing at ringside for this match. I can always count on Ricardo to make me laugh. I loved the spot where he threw the can at Big E's head. His comedic timing is gold. I want a sitcom starring Ricardo Rodriguez. The match was full of shenanigans, but it was pretty amusing. If you try to remember that this match isn't supposed to be taken seriously, you'll enjoy it. Still, I imagine this pissed off a lot of folks since people are probably taking the concept of grown men wrestling in tights way too seriously. Ricardo wins the match by getting a rollup on Zeb. Due to Ricardo's victory, Del Rio gets to choose the stipulation for the WHC title match at Extreme Rules. Well, might as well go over the other matches involving the WHC competitors, but first a word from our sponsors….

I think Domino's Pizza is more over than the IC Championship. Dolph Ziggler and Kofi Kingston was pretty entertaining. This match almost made you think that they were gonna start doing something with Kofi, but you quickly come to your senses and remember he's holding onto one of the mid-card championships. That's pretty much the equivalent of the Kiss of Death since your ass in WWE isn't going anywhere for a while. Kofi nearly pulls off the upset, but AJ and Big E made sure Ziggles picked up the win. Speaking of AJ, there was a brief follow-up between AJ and Kaitlyn. It looks like they're setting up Kaitlyn's new storyline since she'll probably drop the title very soon. A diva having a secret admire? Yeah, never seen one of those before. Why do I have the strange feeling it will end up being Hornswoggle? In fact, I got one Canadian dollar ridin' on Hornswoggle. Let's get to the next match, but let's find out where Lawler's pizza went….

I expect the next Domino's commercial to feature Cena. Come to Domino's and try John Cena's Five Cheese of Doom. Available next Tuesday! Anyway, Swagger squashed Zack Ryder to no surprise. The biggest surprise was Ryder actually talking on a microphone. Ryder cuts promos? I wouldn't be surprised if Ryder found that microphone in a garbage can and decided to see if it still worked.

Alberto Del Rio and Antonio Cesaro had a fair match. I guess Antonio's fitting into his role of being that annoying character. I don't even know if that's good or bad yodeling. Again, Antonio should be on The Price is Right. Look at Alberto go insane with those kidney punches….

Del Rio makes Cesaro tap out to the Cross Armbreaker. After the match, Del Rio announces a ladder match will take place at ER, finally closing the book on the WHC picture for tonight's show. Woah….That was a mouthful. We go a week without any build for this match and then WWE shoves so much of it on tonight's show. I kinda wish they would've spaced things out, but I was fine with tonight's approach. I like the idea of it being a Ladder match. I was already interested in this match to begin with, but now I'm really excited for this contest. I think it's gonna be a lot of fun. Hope it doesn't disappoint.

Your Filler for the Evening
So, Cody Rhodes just basically gave up on the match by diving into that RKO. I'm not even angry about this. I'm laughing at just how ridiculous it looked. Derp Moment of the Week goes to Cody Rhodes. That seriously made my day. The match was pretty good, but you can't top THAT.

Women's Wre-----pssssssh

There was a dance-off between Fandango and Great Khali. I know Khali is the face and the fans are supposed to cheer for him, but it was kinda odd to see him get the bigger reaction due to the recent popularity of Fandangoing. It pretty much proves that some people are only doing it to cash-in on the latest trend. There was very little development between Chris Jericho and Fandango this week since Jericho wasn't even on the show tonight. I really don't have anything to add to this….Hey look, a penny!

Everybody Hates 3MB
Just as Shield is talking about doing everything BUT justice, 3MB comes out since they have a bone to pick with Shield. Just as you would've expected, 3MB get their asses kicked. Team Hell No comes out to attack Shield, but they retreat since they had a dinner appointment to get to. Since Team Hell No has to fight somebody, they beat up 3MB. I wonder if any two members of the Shield will be able to defend the tag titles? I know this hasn't happened yet, but it seems likely that we will get new tag champs pretty soon. If Team Hell No is done after this, they really had one hell of a run.

World's Strongest Rope
Tug of War? Really? I was hoping for a Bull Rope match, but Tug-of-War? What is this? WWE catering to the elementary demog---ohhhhhhhhhh. It was amusing to see Sheamus throw the contest to hit Henry with the Brogue Kick, but kinda silly that we resorted to this stipulation. This adds more build for the Henry/Sheamus feud. I'm kinda indifferent to this rivalry. It has been built up well in the short amount of time, but it really isn't the most intriguing thing to witness. It's just one of those feuds that gives them something to do and eat up time. That seems to happen to a lot of the SD talent. Ever notice that?

Ryback Mad!!! Ryback Bitter!!! Ryback Sleepy!!!
Ryback Rules…..I WILL make that a catchphrase. Since Ryback doesn't want to have anything to do with Shield or Team Hell No, he decides to leave the arena. If I had a nickel for every time a wrestler/superstar left the arena and came back five minutes later….

Since Ryback didn't want to compete, Cena has to take his place in the six-man tag match. I wouldn't really call it replacing since Cena didn't do much in the match. I imagine his activity is gonna be toned down because of his injury To that regard, I don't mind this approach. Still, it is a bit of a gamble to send a guy with an injured Achilles to the ring. I'm not sure how wise that is, but it isn't like I can do anything about it. I guess Cena strained himself from that heel turn….

Just as Cena is about to hit the AA, his heel gives out on him and Shield ends up pinning Cena for the victory. I was stunned to see Cena take the fall in this match. Well, you win some and you lose some. There wasn't a lot of build for the WWE Title picture, but I imagine WWE is playing this by ear since they aren't sure if Cena will be ready to go by ER. Only thing to do is sit back and see what the plan is.

Overall Impression:
I enjoyed tonight's show. The show featured some pretty entertaining wrestling matches and there was some amusing moments as well. I will admit that I enjoyed certain elements of this show for the wrong reasons, but at least it's entertaining. At the end of the day, I just want to be entertained. The show isn't for everybody and I know some people will think otherwise with this showing, but I'm just giving you my honest opinion and nothing more. You can take of that whatever you will. Tell me what you thought of tonight's show or the review. I will see you guys and girls in the next one.

WrestlingNerd Presents: WWE Raw 4/22/13 Review

What up wrestling fans, I'm the WrestlingNerd bringing you another written review. Today, we take a look at WWE Raw 4/22/13. What happens this week? Let's find out and begin.

Antonio's career change
So, why is Antonio Cesaro yodeling? I just find it odd that this has become his thing. You go from US Champion to yodeling champion? Well, gotta take whatever you can get. Tune in next week for Antonio's special appearance on The Price is Right…

He might as well start getting a job on TPIR if he's losing to R-Truth. Oh, and Triple H accepted Brock Lesnar's challenge and hit Paul Heyman with a Pedigree. I've already given my thoughts on this match last week and there isn't much to add. Yeah, I'm being lazy tonight.

Fat Men can't dance
Damien Sandow utilizes the art of cheating to defeat Brodus Clay. Since WWE wants to continue this pointless rivalry, Tensai/Sweet T goes up against Cody Rhodes later on in the night. Tensai gets the victory on Cody and not a single f*** was given over these two matches. Seriously, what's the point of any of this? The purpose of the storyline is to piss off as many people as possible. Of course! It's makes perfect sense….wait, what?

Mirror Shield
I kinda wanted to see these diagrams Daniel Bryan created. I think they missed out on a golden opportunity. Earlier in the night, Shield took out Team Hell No unsuccessfully. I honestly don't see the point of teasing a 3-on-1 match when it never happened. Actually, there was one causality to report. It turned out Cameraman #55 did NOT survive the Shield attack. Let's remember Cameraman #55….

The six-man tag match was definitely worth checking out. The match was fun to watch and is probably one of the more intriguing things about tonight's episode. Shield picks up the victory when Ambrose pins Daniel Bryan. You had to figure either Kane or Bryan taking the pinfall in this match. It would've been one hell of a surprise if Taker took the pinfall, but it's in his contract to never lose to a rookie. A match that will probably only happen once, but well worth checking out. We may be getting closer and closer to the end of Team Hell No. I think Shield will end up taking the tag titles really soon. We fight for justice…..and money…and championships…..and women…..We fight for anything BUT justice.

Duh Duh D---NO!!!
Chris Jericho had the chance to make the WHC match at Extreme Rules a Fatal 4Way, but he needed to defeat Dolph Ziggler tonight. Fandango's musical distraction allows Dolph to pick up the victory. Jericho lose because of the audience chants. That was pretty much all the build you got for the WHC picture. There was no Jack Swagger or Alberto Del Rio tonight…..

….Earlier that night in the WWE boardroom….

Random guy: I got an idea for the WHC. How about we do nothing tonight?
Main guy: GENIUS!!!

Before I move on, I want to add that the Jericho/Dolph match was very entertaining. I think I just figured out another one of Fandango's gimmicks. He fires the female dancer if she doesn't put out after 30 days. It's actually written in his contract. Since Fandango is up, it's time for WWE to milk everything they can out of Fandangoing until they have completely sucked it dry. If Fandangoing is anything like the Harlem Shake, I will really grow to hate it. In fact, I'm already starting to hate it. In the meantime, WILLIAM REGAL! REGAL!!! F***IN' REGAL!!! HE'S THE MAN'S MAN!!! I don't even care he lost to Fandango worse than a ham sandwich. Regal being involved automatically makes it awesome. Why? Because it's Regal.

Filler Matches 101
Big E squashed Zack Ryder and AJ becomes the #1 Contender to the Divas Championship. Ohhhhh, jobbin' now….You might as well pencil AJ in as the Divas Champion. I don't really see Kaitlyn being champ for very long. It's funny how I predicted that Kaitlyn would end up dropping the Divas Championship to AJ. Once that happens, AJ will be Divas Champion until it comes time to give the belt to somebody else that ends up become another one of the WWE's pet projects. When was the last time the Divas title meant anything? Like 87 years ago?

Ryback vs Master of the Cheap Pop
Mick Foley's new job title is to be a John Cena fanboy. Seriously, have you ever noticed that anytime somebody starts being a dick, Foley has to come out to defend Cena? He did that with CM Punk by telling him to accept another match with Cena, and how he's telling Ryback to not be such a dick towards Cena. Well, I suppose Foley has to pay the bills somehow. You officially know Ryback is heel when he starts wearing a beanie cap. It's the design that makes him truly evil. Because of Foley cutting down Ryback, the final segment of the night was a face-off between the two. Foley keeps telling him to be an honorable man, while Ryback is still bitter about SuperCena's reign of merchandise sales. Ryback's promo was once again awkward. I know this is a new role for him and he should improve in good time, but you can't deny Ryback looking very shaky when he has to heel out. It almost seems like he's forcing it. Just as it starts to get physical, here comes Mr. Breakfast Cereal to once again save the day. The Shield comes out and starts to surround the ring. Cena decides to leave Ryback to defend for himself. The Shield start to take down Ryback, but Cena needs to show off….

Cena is able to help clear out the Shield. After the attack, Cena and Ryback stare each other down until Ryback gets distracted by the shiny object in the middle of the ring. Cena hits the AA and that ends the show. What we are getting here is a classic case of each man showing off what the other can do. It was announced that Cena vs Ryback will happen at Extreme Rules. Unless WWE wants Ryback's turn to mean something, he either needs to win the title or something that doesn't allow the man to lose clean. At the same time, you have to be aware that he's facing Cena. You know, the man who pretty much squashes anyone with a fraction of momentum. Well, I wish him luck. He's gonna need it.

Overall Impression:
While there wasn't anything gigantic or eye-popping about this show, I was still entertained by it. The matches is what really won me over tonight. There might have been some garbage matches, but there was a couple of matches that are definitely worth checking out. The audience also helped make this show stand out, but that's no surprise since this was filmed in the UK. You can always count on the UK to make a show come alive. I would normally consider this an average showing, but the audience makes it jump up a couple of notches. I've always said a good audience can make or break a show. That does it for the review. Tell me what you thought of tonight's show or the review. I will see you guys and girls in the next one.

WrestlingNerd Presents: TNA Impact Wrestling 4/18/13 Review (Aces & Overloads)

What up wrestling fans, I'm the WrestlingNerd bringing you another written review. Today, we take a look at TNA Impact Wrestling 4/18/13. What? Two Impact reviews in as many weeks? What sorcery is this?

King of Shenanigans
I don't know about you, but Garett Bischoff isn't a convincing bad guy. He looks way too much like a babyface, which is why I have a hard time believing him to be apart of this stable….

One of these things is not like the other…..

Anyway, Card Games utilizes the power of wrestling logic to win another match. Referees can either be the smartest or dumbest characters in the wrestling world. The match was okay, but the ending was about as predictable as you're gonna get. I understand they have to interfere in every match, but Aces & Eights manages to make the heel formula feel even more repetitive. I didn't even think that was possible. After the Kurt Angle raping, Mr. Anderson continues to make me sad. It's almost unbearable to watch this man cut promos these days. He used to put art and craft into his work, but listen to this? He's putting no effort into his craft anymore. I know I've talked about Anderson's character in the past, but I almost can't help myself and remind you of what he used to do when he cared. Oh, what a mess.

IWC Orgasm
That's what I imagine happens every time Petey Williams does the Canadian Destroyer. Still, I would be lying if I didn't think it was cool. Oh, and TNA introduced the X Cam. The referee wears this stupid hat with a camera on it. I'm glad they didn't show the whole match like this. If that was the case, there would've been more of a reason to pick up some ibuprofen. While the X Cam is interesting, you better hope you are getting a bonus if you're having to wear that thing. Why do I get the feeling that TNA won't be paying attention and you end up witnessing the ref taking a piss or talking about the script? It's just a funny image I picture. Kenny retains his champion due to careful timing. I know I'm gonna get a lot of crap for this, but I honestly don't see the appeal with Kenny King. Sure, the man can wrestle, but that's all he can do. He has the personality of a washcloth and the mic skills of a mime. Whenever I see this guy, I'm instantly reminded of Shelton Benjamin. Shelton was that guy who was very talented in the ring, but offered nothing else to the table. I'm know I'm really touching a nerve when I speak so negatively about these guys, but it takes more than wrestling ability to make yourself stand out from the generic pack. Yeah, this article isn't gonna make me popular at the end of the day, but those are just my honest feelings. If you like Kenny King, that's cool. It certainly doesn't bother me.

Why are we talking about this? Because it's a slow day
I love how Brooke Hogan is talking about how Tessmacher and Mickie James have impressed her as of late. Yeah, those 2-3 matches in four months can really go a long way. So, I guess we have a #1 Contender match for the KO Title. Mickie is able to secure the victory in a bad match. This whole match was women arguing and complaining. I guess TNA found a winning formula. Mickie ends up getting the victory. Mickie cut a promo after the match talking about how she's tired of being overlooked or something like that? I don't know. I really wasn't paying attention.

TNA's Totally inVisible Title
Knox probably just gave the most telegraphed attack ever. I could've sworn that punch was at lightening speed. Sonic the Hedgehog couldn't even see that s***. Look at it go!!! I love this logic here. Aces & Eights basically kills Magnus, but one Samoan is enough to make a group of bikers run away from a fight. Well, the reasoning for this was to book Samoa Joe vs Devon for later tonight. Might as well get that match out of the way. Joe and Devon match was short. Shenanigans lead to Devon retaining the worthless championship. Aces & Eights continues to get repetitive and I feel that's gonna keep happening until Slammiversary or Bound for Glory. I don't know what the hell I'm gonna do if this goes until October. I should also mention that the biggest bullies in this show pretty much resorted to grade-school tactics on Joseph Park. I'm fact, I'm a little disappointed. Why didn't they stuff him in a locker or give him a wedgie? Yeah, these Aces & Eights are bad-ass! If you don't watch out, they may just take your milk money! Ohhhhh noooooo!!!

Somebody put effort? Whaaaaaaaa….?
I can always rely on Bad Influence to present that glazed ham on a weekly basis. They talk about Morgan Freeman being asked to play Dixie Carter in the Bad Influence movie. I kinda want to see that movie. It would be better than half the garbage Hollywood throws out there. The competitive banter between Bad Influence and Greatest Factor was also pretty entertaining. Hey, I can at least appreciate somebody going out there to put on a good show. Kinda funny how Team Nacho Libre ended up ruining this segment with their bag of cliches. Greatest Factor gets their rematch next week. I like both of these tag teams, but they literally are showing the same tag matches every week. To be fair, WWE is going the same thing too. Somethings' gotta change in the tag team world.

AJ Styles didn't really seem interested in fighting, but that changed with James Storm literally brought the fight to him. Styles wins this match with a submission hold. He takes out Kaz and Daniels, but leaves when Card Games attacks Storm and Bad Influence. It continues to add mystery to where Styles' allegiance lies. While it's interesting, we kinda have been asking that question for over a month. They're literally doing nothing new at the moment and are almost waiting until the PPV. Bully calling out Hogan is the main selling point for next week? Yeah, like we haven't see that before. Bully Ray plays a great leader and heel. I really enjoy what he brings to the table, but I can't say the same for his goons.

Overall Impression:
There was only a few moments of the show that I really liked. The tag team promo between Bad Influence and Greatest Factor (It's a much better name than Dirty Heels) was pretty entertaining. Bad Influence is a fun pairing that I've been enjoying for some time. In fact, their charisma was about the only positive from the Claire Lynch fiasco. The other thing I liked was Styles' transition, but I'll admit that it's the same as before. I like where this could lead to, but it does feel like a rip-off of the Sting/crashing the NWO party back in the WCW days. I almost find it exhausting these days to watch another Aces & Eights segment. It isn't the worst idea I've seen, but something about it has really made it overstay its welcome. There are some things going on in TNA that I enjoying watching, but I'm not enjoying it as a whole. I want to put that out there since TNA fans tend to think I'm just here to bash TNA. I really want to like this show and want to say more positive things about it, but I would be lying if I said I enjoyed everything I saw tonight. I always tell people to not take any of my reviews seriously. I sure as hell don't. Speaking of which, tell me what you thought of my stupid review and ramblings. See you guys and girls in the next one.

WrestlingNerd Presents: WWE Raw 4/15/13 Review

What up wrestling fans, I'm the WrestlingNerd bringing you another written review. Today, we take a look at WWE Raw 4/15/13. What does WWE have in-store for this week? Let's find out and start the review.

World Wrestling Retcons
I'm just gonna assume that second-rope DDT Randy Orton does is named the 'Vintage Orton'. You've just been Michael Cole'd….

Sheamus and Orton work together to take out Big Show and….That's it. Yeah, that's seriously all they have to offer you. So, what you pretty much witness is WWE retconning everything that happened between Orton and Sheamus a week ago. Why? What was the purpose of any of that build? My only guess for WWE doing this is because they have new ideas on the way for Orton, Sheamus, and/or Show. If they find themselves in something better, than I have no problem with this move. However, if they are doing nothing within the next few weeks, it means WWE got their latest 'shipment'.

Again?
Just as 3MPunching Bag is about to call out the Shield, Brock Lesnar comes out and destroys them. After the attack, Paul Heyman announces that Brock wants another match with Triple H. Jesus tap-dancing-while-riding-on-a-unicorn-with-a-bear-chasing-your-ass Christ! Why are they doing this again? They just can't leave it alone. They just need to milk one more match between these two. I honestly don't see the point of doing it for the third time. It's just silly, but I guess they need to make money somehow. It seems they will be going with a Steel Cage match this go around. I have mixed feelings on this gimmick. It has the recipe to do well, but it can also be disappointing. I'll give it a chance since it can always impress, but this is also coming from somebody who hasn't fully like their first two matches.

Mid-card Sandwich
Kofi Kingston beats Antonio Cesaro to become the new US Champion. Have we been here before? How many times has Kofi found himself in this position? In fact, he's been here so much that I can predict how this championship run will go. He will start off winning a few matches, then WWE will forget about him and he will make no impression until it comes time to give the championship to somebody else. Once he loses the belt, he will go back into irrelevance until it comes time to start the process yet again. Lather, rinse, and repeat. That's how you create a Kofi Kingston career. As for Antonio, I guess he can learn how to say 'jobber' in five different languages. Antonio Cesaro, now a regular on WWE Main Event! Team Hell No defeated the Prime Time Players in a quick match. The purpose of the tag match was to hype up the six-man tag match for next week. It will be Undertaker, Kane, and Bryan vs Shield. I never imagined Taker competing in a match on Raw, but he is and it's against one of the most dominate pairings in years. I definitely like what I'm hearing. Can't wait until next week…..

Wade Barrett's theme song suits him. He really doesn't care anymore. Hey, I just realized something! Whatever happened to Bo Dallas? I completely forgot about him since he did that one thing and then nobody remembered him. I think I just answered my own question. If you want your wrestling career to go nowhere, just win the IC championship. Nothing wrong can come from that, right?

WHC Shenanigans
Ziggler talks about the perks of being WHC, like catching herpes. As Dolph Ziggler is talking, Alberto Del Rio comes out and wants to revoke his rematch for tonight. Despite being banged up, Vickie Guerrero makes the match 'official'. Jack Swagger comes out since he needs to pay off that DUI. Weeeee the people…..That's all I can say. I don't know any other words. Anyway, Swagger attacks Del Rio and the match has been called off. Teddy Long thought it was a great idea to have Swagger vs Ziggler for tonight. What, no tag team match playa? I'm disappointed. In fact, I think that's why Booker T got mad at Teddy. He wasn't living up to his potential. Earlier in the night, Swagger and Dolph had a pretty good match. I know this happened later in the show, but it's just easier to talk about the entire WHC picture in one paragraph. Swagger won with a pothead rollup. Due to Swagger's victory, Booker makes Dolph vs Del Rio vs Swagger at Extreme Rules. This decision doesn't really come off as much of a surprise. I think they will ease Dolph into his first challenger. Should be interesting to watch.

Let's Get Viral
It's time for Fandango-ing…..

There will be no mention of popular videos on this page. I forbid it!!! Everybody who talks about Fandango-ing in the comments is forever banned….Naw, I really don't care. You can talk about it if you want. It seems logical for WWE to exploit the hell out of this concept until people get sick of it.

I've lost my sense of Punk
CM Punk comes out and explains how he wants to be the very best, like no one ever waaaaaaas. To catch them is my real test. To train them is my caaaaaaause. What the f*** am I doing? Just as Punk starts talking about his match with Taker, he is speechless and leaves the ring. Based on how Punk has portrayed his character the last few months, this is very uncharacteristic. Not really sure what to make out of this. I think what they are planning is having Punk take some time off. Once he returns, he could possibly come back as a face based off of WWE's track record with these type of things. I kinda wish he would come back as anti-hero Punk since that's the best version of Punk. Punk takes a few months off to heal up nagging injuries and should come back better than ever. We will await his return.

Hunger vs Fruity Pebbles
Mark Henry took out Sheamus and not a single f*** was given that day. Alright, time to get to the final segment of the night. Earlier in the night, Ryback cut a video promo talking about how he's tired of being in John Cena's shadow and no longer considers him a friend since he never looked out for him. The funny thing is Ryback was on the ball. Cena probably was too busy coming up with his next T-shirt design as Ryback was being attacked by the Shield. Speaking of which, that white T-shirt Cena plugged last week has to be the laziest T-shirt design ever. I guess WWE wants to spend as little money as possible since they know they're getting a net profit from Cena's merchandise. Ryback is officially a bad guy since he's surrounded by dark lighting. The nerve! The two finally have a discussion in the ring. What it boiled down to was Cena telling Ryback he isn't good enough to win a world championship. The Shield comes in to attack Cena. Ryback could help out easily, but he decides to let Mr. Breakfast Cereal handle this one on his own. After Cena has been taken out, Ryback walks away. So, what I pretty much get out of this is Ryback is officially a bad guy and he'll most likely get a WWE title match against Cena in the near future. It probably was best for Ryback to go heel. Maybe all those defeats at PPVs is what Ryback was working towards? I doubt it, but it's possible. Ryback seemed a bit out of place playing the heel. He looked out of place during that promo. Hopefully, he'll adjust to the role.

Overall Impression:
I honestly don't know what to think of this episode. It wasn't what I would call great, but I don't consider it a bad show. There was some fair moments, but also some moments that could be considered boring. There wasn't a whole lot to really check out with this episode, but there was a couple of moments worth checking out. I would definitely consider this an average episode. It was apparent this episode wasn't gonna be anything close to what happened last week. You would have to be crazy to expect the same type of audience on a weekly basis. Tell me what you thought of my review or tonight's show. I will see you guys and girls in the next one.

PS: My heart goes out to anyone effect by the bombings at the Boston Marathon. You have my thoughts and prayers.
