WrestlingNerd Presents: WWE Raw 1/14/13 Review (20 Years of Ridiculousness)

What up wrestling fans, I'm the WrestlingNerd bringing you another written review. Today, we take a look at WWE Raw 1/14/13. What happens this in the 20th Anniversary of Raw? Let's find out and start the review.

We open up the show with Vince McMahon. Looking at the Raw intros for the entire history of the show, it just clicked in my head that Raw has had some terrible themes. Smackdown isn't far behind, but I'll stop right there before I continue to piss off Attitude Era fanboys. While Vince gives us a rundown of what will happen later tonight, Big Show comes out to complain about losing the WHC. Alberto Del Rio arrives to poke the bear. What this basically boiled down to was a WHC match at the Royal Rumble between Del Rio and Show. I was stunned that the crowd ate up Del Rio's antics, but Del Rio actually did a fair job with this. Maybe a face turn is what the guy needed. I stand by my original theory that putting the title on Del Rio was made to set up Dolph's eventual MITB cash-in. At the same time, I think they want to get Del Rio over as a face before they green light that rivalry. In the meantime, witness the giant act like a pansy. Aww, good times.

Match #1: Randy Orton vs Wade Barrett
This match was pretty fair to watch. The finish comes when Wade hits the Bull Hammer for the clean victory. Yeah, you read that correctly. I was a little surprised to see Wade pick up the clean win here. Maybe WWE is gonna start to give a s*** with one of their mid-card titles? Well, I'm probably reading to much into it. I think this also shows how Randy's stock has really fallen in the last six months. I almost forgot he was a 9-time world champion. The lesson of the day is don't do drugs.

Winner via pinfall: Wade Barrett

After we get a dose of Eve failing to get some dark meat, we get a follow-up with Team Hell No and Dr. Shelby. The Doctor originally brought in Rhodes Scholars to help Kane and Daniel Bryan deal with their anger, but all they do is question Shelby's credibility. I think the only thing to question about Shelby is how he can't act. This guys needs lessons from Hell No. Shelby snaps and orders Kane and Bryan to attack Rhodes Scholars. Shelby's master plan is coming together. The world will be overtaken with men in mask and beards. Muhahahahahahahahaha!!!

Match #2: Kane vs Damien Sandow
It wouldn't be the 20th Anniversary of Raw if we didn't at least see one match under two minutes. Kane wins with the Chokeslam.

Winner via anniversary: Kane

Mick Foley is revealed to be the first inductee in the Hall of Fame. Just as he's about to have his moment, Shield arrives to surround Foley. Just as they are about to attack him, Ryback arrives to help out. I think the commentators went a little overboard in talking about how Ryback was going up against three guys. I know they want to put him over, but you can tell when they get a little out of hand. Don't be shocked if Cole and King blew a load while delivering that line. Randy and Sheamus arrive to make it a fair fight. The good guys end up standing tall. After the match, Ryback claims that he wants Shield. Feed me Shield!!!

That sounds painful. Anyway, I think we got a six-man tag match set for the RR. I think it sounds like it could be a lot of fun. Hopefully it lives up.

Match #3: Eve vs Kaitlyn; Divas Championship
The real man's man!!! Oh……that brings back funny memories. Booker's stipulations for this match is Eve would be stripped of her championship if she got DQ'd or counted out. This was a fair divas match. It wasn't great, but it's tolerable. The finish comes when Kaitlyn wins the match with a Spear. We officially have a new divas champion. I think this move was gonna happen really soon. I personally like Kaitlyn and think she can be a good champion, but I also think WWE isn't gonna do anything with this title until it comes time to crown a new champion. They can always prove me wrong, but its been a while since the divas title has meant something.

Winner via pinfall and NEW Divas Champ: Kaitlyn

Match #4: CM Punk vs Brodus Clay
Brodus got pissed off for Punk telling him the truth about his gimmick last week. Brodus proves how he's a gimmick by remaining in his stupid character. My bad!!! Brodus does well, but there's no way WWE would have Brodus defeat Punk. The finish comes when Punk makes Brodus tap out to the Anaconda Vice. After the match, Punk cuts a quick promo. The promo wasn't as good as last week, but I think it does the job.

Winner via submission: CM Punk

Match #5: Sheamus vs 3MB; Over-the-top-rope match
I'm actually surprised Heath Slater got the victory. Not that it matters. That will probably be the biggest win they got all year. Sheamus kills 3MB after the match.

Winner via squash: Sheamus

John Cena talks….

Seriously, Cena needs to calm down. I felt I needed to take a Tylenol in the middle of that speech. Ric Flair comes out to be the guest of Miz TV. This was just an excuse to go down memory lane. WWE did plenty of that as the night went along, but I'm glad they didn't go overboard with legends. I have no problems with legends showing up, but they have to mean something. Raw 1000 had a lot of pointless cameos……just thought I would put that out there in case people use that as an excuse. After some 'woos' and Flair struts, Antonio Cesaro comes out and claims these two are typical Americans. All you need is a fat guy claiming he's gonna start working out tomorrow and you're all set. Miz and Flair work together to take out Cesaro. The segment ends with Flair elbowing dropping his jacket. It isn't a Flair segment until he elbow drops the jacket. I actually enjoyed this segment. I thought it was a lot of fun. And because I'm incredibly immature, here's this clip. Why? Because I can….

Match #6: Daniel Bryan vs Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes' mustache looks like a hamster is sucking on his face. Bryan wins with the NO Lock rather quickly. Flair's appearance took away what this match was gonna offer, but I think this was a blessing. Anytime to take Cody's mustache away from television is probably a good thing. Apparently, Eve quits WWE. My God……WHAT A RELIEF!!! Let's move on. Her character was okay, but I personally don't think this is a big lose. The diva division is only there for fan-service, so I don't really see the outrage this is getting.

Winner via submission: Daniel Bryan

Match #7: John Cena vs Dolph Ziggler; Steel Cage match
This worked just like last week's match. The only difference was that this was a cage match. Dolph hits everything he can, but Cena still manages to kick out. You could bury this guy under 20 feet of concrete and he'll STILL find a way to win a match. Even with AJ tapping into her insanity and Big E being the worst bodyguard ever, Cena hits the AA and pins Dolph cleanly. You know, I'm kinda disappointed by this finish. After all, you've been building Cena to be this superhero. In fact, I almost expected Cena to poop out his own superhero cape and wear it around the ring. Why stop there? He would then proceed to fly out of the cage by punching it with his mind. Then all of the sudden, you hear John Williams' Superman song playing in the background. And then you listen to the audience going. There's our hero!!! It's Cena!!! It's Cena!!! IT'S CENA!!! He's flying!!! He's flying out of the f***ing ring!!! Look at him go!!! LOOK AT HIM GO!!! He's unstoppable!!! LOOK MOMMY, HE'S FLYYYYYYIIIIIIING!!!

….Umm…..sorry….

Winner: F***ING FLYING!!!

The final segment of the night is the Rock concert. He sings a song that mocks Vickie Guerrero and that's about it. He finally gets serious and calls out CM Punk. After the Rock proclaims he will be the champion after the Rumble, the two get into a brawl. That pretty much ends the show. Kind of a letdown ending, don't you think? It wasn't bad, but it felt like this was plan C or D and not A or B. Grading is fun!!!

Overall Impression:
Amazing how there's so much hatred for this episode because it didn't bring out a bunch of legends. The IWC never seizes to amaze me. I hear complaints all the time about how they hate how legends ruin the shows. Yet, you complain about not having the legends? So, you want the legends, but at the same time, you don't? That makes absolutely no sense. The PPV should be built up, not a show that puts together a bunch of pointless cameos that are only there as an excuse for people to whip out their nostalgic boners. Besides, it isn't like WWE made a big deal with their 20th Anniversary. They only mentioned it for the past two weeks, so I personally thought it wasn't supposed to be that big of a deal. Another complaint is that this episode didn't really celebrate the 20th anniversary and there was nothing memorable. While that may be true, one thing this episode did was build up the PPV. I can at least give them credit for doing that. They built up every match that will most likely happen at the PPV and I think the card looks pretty good going into the RR. To me, I think this was more important than bringing in legends to get a cheap pop. Was this episode great? Not by any stretch of the imagination, but I at least thought it was fair. I can understand that people will be disappointed with this show because there was very little legends, but I think you need to look at the bigger picture. The Royal Rumble is in two weeks and I'm sure WWE wants that PPV to sell. What's more important? Moving forward to build up RR and WrestleMania 29, or focus on Attitude Era clips and talk about the past? That's my personal thoughts on the subject. That's gonna do it for the review and I hope you enjoyed it. If I pissed you off in this review, let me apologize right now by doing absolutely nothing about it. Tell me what you thought of my review or tonight's show. I will see you guys and girls in the next one.

WrestlingNerd Presents: TNA Genesis 2013 Review (Genesis doesn't what Nintendon't)

What up wrestling fans, I'm the WrestlingNerd bringing you another written review. Today, we take a look at TNA Genesis 2013. Was the first PPV of 2013 any good? Let's find out and begin.

Match #1: Nacho Libre vs Giant Pornstars; TNA Tag titles
We open up the show with the tag title match. In a fair match, Chavo and Hernandez win with their tag combo. I was liking the build for this match, but I found the match to be pretty boring. It was a bit of a letdown. Well, that's not the best way to start off one of the only four TNA PPVs of the year. Hopefully, this is just a minor slip, right……right….RIGHT?

Winner via pinfall and still TNA Tag Champs: Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez

Match #2: Mr. Anderson vs Samoa Joe
Apparently, Anderson is bitter at various TNA talents since nobody saved him when Aces and Eights kicked his ass all those months ago. So, instead of seeking revenge against the people that attacked him, he teams up with those guys to seek revenge against people he doesn't like? Oh, but that makes perfect sense for Mr. Asshole. Let's not take THAT away from him. As of right now, we still aren't sure if Anderson is with Aces and Eights or is just working his own agenda. At this point, I really don't care since I've explained my feelings on Mr. Anderson's character for the last year. It's gonna take a lot from TNA in order to make me start pay attention to him, but let's be fair and give it a chance. The match is okay, but I just couldn't find myself getting into the contest. I don't know what it is, but Mr. Anderson matches just make me sleepy. The finish comes when Mike Knox arrives to cause enough of a distraction for Anderson to hit the Mic Check for the victory. I love how TNA goes back and forth calling him "Mike Knox" and "That one guy". It makes you think that TNA is too lazy and uncreative enough to even come up with a goofy name for him. I'm just gonna call him Overweight Beard Guy. That's something we can all get down with.

Winner via pinfall: Mr. Anderson

Match #3: Christian York vs Kenny King; X Division Tournament
I love how TNA expects you to care for a tournament that was slapped together at the last moment. Well, at least TNA tried to do something a little different. York managed to pull off the victory. I think the idea was to get York over with the fans. TNA really seems high on this guy for some reason. After the match, Kenny takes his frustrations on York.

Winner via pinfall: Christian York

Match #4: RVD vs Christian York; X Division Title match
I was pretty disappointed by this. While York winning the title would be premature, it just seems a bit odd to have York get close, but no cigar. Still, the evening was about York getting over with fans, so he really didn't need to win the last match. I guess one positive out of this whole thing is adding more stock for York. The finish comes when RVD wins with the Frog Splash.

Winner via pinfall and still X Division: RVD

Match #5: Devon vs Joseph Park
I love how Devon is struggling to beat up a lawyer. Maybe all that lard softens up the majority of his blows? I'm not gonna be too harsh on this one since Joseph is still playing the timid, lawyer gimmick, so I can't grade this the same way I would your typical wrestling match. At the same time, nothing really happens here. If you've seen one Joseph Park match, you've seen them all. He isn't doing much on the attack, but manages to stick in there to almost pull off the miracle. The finish comes when Joseph hits the Black Hole Slam in the middle of Abyssing-up, but snaps out of it. This leads to Devon getting a rollup victory while Joseph is confused. I love how Devon holds up the TV title after the match? That would be the equivalent of me making a championship out of paper and being proud of it.

Match #6: Knockout Gauntlet Match
What can I really say about this match? It was simply just there. Gail Kim gets the first couple of victories until Velvet Sky ends up getting the final victory. One thing to note is Gail had her foot under the rope during the pinfall, so that could be used to prolong the KO title match. That's almost the only storyline that got any progression tonight. That's ridiculous. Velvet is the new #1 Contender to the KO title. Fan-service will give you KO title matches. That's now it works.

Winner: Velvet Sky

Match #7: James Storm vs Christopher Daniels
This was probably the second best match of the night. I still think the feud between these two is forced, but I think I can get behind this if they do it right. The finish comes when Kaz causes enough of a distraction for Daniels to get his feet on the ropes for leverage. Wait, how does that even work? I guess it puts more pressure on your shoulders to kick out, but I just found it as an excuse for the wrestler to do some last-minute yoga. This outcome makes the feud continue. I don't mind the rivalry continuing, but I hope to see something that really brings you into watching this feud. Right now, it just looks like they are feuding with each other because the creative staff wasn't sure what else to do.

Winner via pinfall: Christopher Daniels

Match #8: Sting vs Doc
Watching Bully Ray talk about his fire-breathing twittah machine is sad these days. Hopefully, something at the 'wedding' makes Bully come back to his senses. Bully Ray is awesome, but this 'Buddy' Ray sucks. I'm sorry, but having him be cute towards Brooke Hogan is just offsetting. After a pre-match beat down attack by Card Games, that still isn't enough to take out Sting. Sting wins this match with the Scorpion Death Drop. Director of Chaos? Come on, he couldn't even beat Chaos Zero….

This stable really has nothing going for it. I don't really mind Sting getting the victory here, but it doesn't make Aces and Eights look any better when they can't win anything. After the match, Aces and Eights are about to attack Sting, but Bully saves Sting. That's what happens when you cross Buddy Ray. Your friendly, neighborhood friend that's dating a chick that's 15-18 years younger than him.

Winner via pinfall: Sting

Match #9: Jeff Hardy vs Austin Aries vs Bobby Roode; TNA World Title
I freakin' love this. Bobby and Aries combine to create the Human Transformer. Unfortunately, it cannot stand up to the Megatron title. I thought you were made of sterner stuff? If you continued watching this, you also saw Bobby shout instructions for Aries to do an attack. Are you giving instructions or dancing the night away? This was probably the best match of the night, but what really made it for me was Roode's instructions. I'm actually being serious right now. Once the team of Aries/Roode crumbles, both guys start fighting each other. Nice to see a new bag of tricks from the writers…..or a bag of cliches. I forget which one at this point. Hardy and Aries end up picking up a double pinfall on Bobby, but Hardy is the only one that gets credit. There really wasn't any reason to do this. I guess it further fueled Aries' hatred towards Hardy, but that's a stretch. The finish comes when Hardy hits the Swanton Bomb for the victory. Hardy wins the championship and….that's it. The show's over……y-you can go home now. Highlight of this PPV was the Human Transformer.

Winner via pinfall and still TNA World Champion: Jeff Hardy

Overall Impression:
Sigh….I feel tired. I feel tired because this PPV had nothing going for it. I thought the idea of shortening up the PPV schedule was to make them mean something? This PPV really has nothing going for it. It wasn't bad, but this is not what I would call PPV quality. This PPV felt like nothing more than filler. I know it's common for PPVs to fall in this category, but I was expecting something a little more. After all, TNA is only gonna have three more PPVs for the rest of this year. I thought the reasons for taking out the traditional 12 PPVs a year is to take out the filler shows and put the bigger events on PPV. Well, that really wasn't the case. I felt bored while watching this PPV. Nothing happens while you watch Genesis. Was there decent wrestling matches? Yes, but I was hoping for a little more in the storyline department. If I have to give TNA Genesis 2013 a score between 1-10 and 5 considered average, I have to give this PPV a 3 out of 10. It really wasn't that bad (I would normally consider this slightly below average, or 4 out of 10), but I had to take a point off because TNA shortened up their PPV schedule and filler is unacceptable. If you take out the main event, you have nothing to really witness. TNA PPVs are supposed to mean something with the new schedule, but what's the point if you're gonna use one of your four PPVs to produce filler? This whole evening was just a waste of time and doesn't feel like PPV. I would be fine if this was an episode of Impact, but you expect more with PPV. To be fair, TNA only had a month to build up this showing. I can try to be a little easier on them and expect more from them with the other PPVs, but they really should've planned this better. Hopefully, they will take the mistakes and try to improve on the shows. If TNA really wants to make this PPV change mean something, they need to do much better and keep the filler on Impact. I hate being that guy who has to be negative on this company since it's so overdone on the internet, but I cannot accept this. I would be lying if I said I enjoyed this. Well, I better wrap this up before I continue to piss off more TNA die-hards. That's gonna do it for the review and I hope you enjoyed it. I apologize for the Best and Worst of 2012 delay, but something came up from my end to delay things. I should have Part One up in the middle of the week. Tell me what you thought of my review or tonight's show. I will see you guys and girls in the next one.

WrestlingNerd's Official Score of TNA Genesis 2013: 3 out of 10

WrestlingNerd Presents: WWE Smackdown 1/11/13 Review (Dafaq?)

What up wrestling fans, I'm the WrestlingNerd bringing you another written review. Today, we take a look at WWE Smackdown 1/11/13. Who decided to be spoiler-free this week? Let's find out and start the review.

We open up the show with Booker T. After we get the five-time…..five-time…..five-time…..FIVE-TIME….FIVE-TIME's worth of announcements, Big Show seems pissed off that Booker made the Show/Del Rio match for the world title. He even puts his hand on Booker until Del Rio runs out for the save. I didn't think of this sooner, but maybe one of the WrestleMania plans is to have Show vs Booker. They have been setting it up the last couple of weeks. Anybody thinking this?

Match #1: Randy Orton vs Antonio Cesaro
The match didn't last very long. The finish comes when the Shield attacked Randy, thus resulting in a DQ. The segment ends with Shield hitting their triple powerbomb on Randy. After Randy attacked Shield on Raw this past week, it seems appropriate. I think Shield may have just found their first true rivalry in Randy and Sheamus. I think that could work if done well.

Winner via DQ: Randy Orton

In a taped segment, CM Punk is at Sun Life Stadium to tell the Rock how the current WWE is his playground. Once again, a good promo by Punk. Can you believe we have three more weeks of these promos between Punk and Rock? I think things are looking pretty good as we move forward.

Match #2: Dolph Ziggler and AJ vs Khali and Natalya
Thanks to the power of her jaw, AJ is able to beat Natalya. Is there an innuendo in that last sentence? Anyway, Dolph takes out Khali after the match. To add more salt to the open wound, Big E Langston kills Hornswoggle. Is it still Christmas time? I don't know why, but I got some amusement out of that. I'm a sick bastard.

Winner via pinfall: Dolph and AJ

I love how the Rock starts off his promo praising Flo Rida. Yeah, cuz we need to start every speech by mentioning untalented people. Rock talks about returning home and cookie puss….ugh. I've had a few days to think about this and I still think this is the worse chant Rock has ever come up with. Rhodes Scholars interrupt the Rock to give him a pop quiz. The Rock does well for the first two questions, but that's the power of the script. Damn you script and your….script-ness. The Rock gets tired of the quiz, so he takes out Ask That Guy and Ron Jeremy's homosexual cousin. The segment did two things. It continues to build up Rock/Punk, but it also gives the Miami audience something to eat up. Then again, anytime the Rock is present, it can be looked as an excuse for the audience to be energetic. That's just the presence the Rock brings to the table. Pretty entertaining segment, but not one of Rocky's better promos.

Match #3: 3MB vs Sheamus
Even in a 3-on-1 match, 3MB still can't win. I think this stable is gonna find its way in the bargain bin pretty soon if they keep going down this road.

Winner via pinfall: Sheamus

Match #4: Team Hell No vs Prime Time Players
Another filler match for the night. This was on the show to give a quick reminder to Team Hell No's evaluation next week. I hope it's hilarious.

Winner via pinfall: Team Hell No

Match #5: Big Show vs Alberto Del Rio; Last Man Standing match for the WHC
In terms of Last Man Standing matches, it isn't that great but I did enjoy watching this performance. I think what added to it was the suspense with the close calls. I thought the match was done with Show hit that KO punch, but Del Rio found a way to get back up by propping himself up. The finish comes when Del Rio hits Show a few times with the steel steps and buries him underneath the announce table. This kept Show down long enough for the ref to make the ten count and we've just seen the crowning of a new world champion. I love how Show is struggling to lift that thing. Not for nothing, but this is Big Show we are talking about here. The man that's built to bench press a small car, but announce tables appear to be his weakness. Wait, we have a new WHC?

Okay, so time to talk about what we just witnessed. I think many of you are immediately saying, "why?". Well, that's an appropriate response. There was nothing showing that Del Rio was gonna win the WHC, so why do this now? Well, I have a couple of theories. With Dolph still in possession of the MITB and Show being a heel, it would be kinda silly to have Dolph cash in on Show. Dolph/Show just doesn't sound appealing or look good based on what we have. Now, how about Dolph/Del Rio? Well, that makes a little more sense. In fact, I feel Del Rio won the WHC so they could set up a scenario where Dolph cashes in on Del Rio. Thus we get a Dolph/Del Rio rivalry either leading up towards WM or before the big event. And remember what I said earlier in the night? WWE has been teasing tension between Show and Booker for a while. With Show dropping the title, this will add more tension between the two. I feel WWE was setting up a number of different things with tonight's actions. For the most part, I don't have a problem with this. Sure, it could end up making Del Rio a transitional champion, but this might be the best move as we start to build storylines that will greatly effect what type of card we get at WM. This also helps Del Rio since he's still very fresh in his face turn. I think this could help him gain a following with casual fans as he works on his new persona.

Winner and NEW WHC: Alberto Del Rio

Overall Impression:
I really liked tonight's edition of SD. Even if certain matches/storylines fell in the filler category, there was enough there to make the show worth checking out. Rock and Punk continue to build their encounter at the Royal Rumble. We saw the crowning of a new world champion, and I think we are seeing foreshadowing in a Booker T vs Big Show match at WM. There was plenty of interesting stuff to keep you invested in tonight's show. Yeah, so WWE seems to be on the right track as we start the road towards RR and WM. That's a big plus in my book. That's gonna do it for the review and I hope you enjoyed it. As always, tell me what you thought of my review or tonight's show. I will see you guys and girls in the next one.

WrestlingNerd Presents: WWE Raw 1/7/13 Review (Boxing with God sounds dangerous)

What up wrestling fans, I'm the WrestlingNerd bringing you another written review. Today, we take a look at WWE Raw 1/7/13. With big things set for tonight's show, was the show worthwhile? Let's find out and begin.

Match #1: John Cena vs Dolph Ziggler
We open up the show with John Cena. After we get a clip of Dolph and AJ swimming in a pool of melted Snicker bars, Cena talks about the Royal Rumble match until Dolph, AJ and Big E interrupt. We get a series of really bad wiener/poop jokes. Ah, the John Cena special. When in doubt, dive into a children's joke book. Dolph announces that he will be entering the RR match and vows to win. Cena wants to fight Dolph, but Dolph doesn't seem interested. Hey, would you be interested in fighting somebody who's best comeback involves wieners? Big E ends up taking the mic and agrees to the match. So, Big E speaks for Dolph? Well, that's nice to know. What we get here is a great match to open up the action. Seriously, this was on par with their ladder match at TLC. Of course, something tells me the internet is gonna rage since Dolph literally threw everything at Cena and the man still manages to kick out before three. John Cena: The man who craps out Phoenix Downs, but only uses them on himself. I know people will argue that Dolph should've won the match. While I admit that it gets a little ridiculous when Big E hits Cena with his finisher and it still doesn't keep him down. At the same time, the match entertained me enough to not throw a fit over who won a free television match. Sometimes, I just see things differently compared to others.

Winner via pinfall: John Cena

Match #2: Eve vs Kaitlyn; Divas Championship
Eve shows her moxie by….simply running away. That'll show her!!! Eve was running away from the fight so she could keep her title. Well, that's one way to do a title defense. I really hope we see a new Divas Champ soon. Nothing against Ever herself, but I just don't care for her divas title reign.

Winner via countout: Kaitlyn (Eve is still Divas Champ)

Match #3: Team Hell No vs Rhodes Scholars
After tonight, you won't be playing air guitar. You'll be playing the harp? What the f*** does that even mean? I think what he was trying to say is he will end up killing Slater at the end of the day, but it still sounds kinda dumb. If you don't do what I say…..drink Mountain Dew. See, sounds stupid, doesn't it? In a fair match, Cody hits the Cross Rhodes on Daniel Bryan for the victory. With the victory, it gives Rhodes Scholars something to hold them over as they prep for a possible title match.

Winner via pinfall: Rhodes Scholars

Match #4: Randy Orton vs Heath Slater
Just as Randy "predicted", Slater is now playing the harp for his own funeral. After the match, Randy takes out Jinder and McIntyre. I guess we gotta get two more harps, right? BOOOOO!!!

Winner via bad writing: Randy Orton

Match #5: Wade Barrett vs Santino
Earlier in the evening, Wade insulted Santino and Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat. Apparently, Wade thinks Ricky is an old man blowing smoke. Well, it sounds better than an old man farting out smoke. Santino gets encouragement from Ricky, but not even the Hall of Famer could make Santino a threat. Wade wins with the Bull Hammer. Now we begin the mid-card reign where the guy picks up countless victories over scrubs. The mid-card speciality. Hopefully, Wade gets a rivalry very soon.

Winner via pinfall: Wade Barrett

Geeze, now Sheamus is making fun of 3MB? That's almost as bad as Randy's insult…..No, no it isn't. I apologize for that miscalculation.

Match #6: Antonio Cesaro vs Khali
Not to be braggadocios or anything, but I found it funny how I mentioned how Miz/Antonio wouldn't be a bad idea for a rivalry and look what we get. Miz is on commentary for this match, which gives foreshadowing for that possible feud. I was a little surprised by that, but it's amazing how I get these things right from time to time. If you don't believe me, check the link and look under the Antonio/Slaughter match….

Antonio beats Khali with the Neutralizer. It was just a match to show Antonio's dominance and nothing more. I think the Antonio/Miz feud should be at least interesting to check out.

Winner via pinfall: Antonio Cesaro

Match #7: Sheamus vs Jinder Mahal
Cut and paste the Randy match from earlier and there you go. Screw your harp. I'll play the trumpet so I can play taps. Yeah, it still sounds stupid.

Winner via pinfall: Sheamus

Match #8: CM Punk vs Ryback; TLC match for WWE Championship
I think with all things considered, this was a pretty good match. Sure, it wasn't what I would call a wrestling match, but it was entertaining. Lots of high spots, close calls, and fun to witness. Still, I found it funny how Ryback tackled himself through a table. I know he was trying to get Punk, but Punk wasn't even standing in front of the thing. He must've thought of Punk as a Bull Fighter. Ryback is about to win the title, but the lights go off….

Naw, I'm just f***ing with you. It turns out to be the Shield and they take out Ryback. Punk is able to pick himself back up and wins the match. So, it appears we will have Punk/Rock at the RR. With all things considered, this was the best way to go. Punk has had a long championship reign and it needs to continue. In fact, I don't think Punk should lose his title until WrestleMania, but I'll save that argument for another day. I'm also gonna save theories on Punk/Rock for down the road. There will be plenty of time to talk about the actual match.

Winner and still WWE Champion: CM Punk

Match #9: Big Show vs Kofi Kingston
Dr. Shelby will be back next week to evaluate Team Hell No? YES!!! I'm actually looking forward to this. They really were my favorite storyline in 2012. These two simply produced comedy gold. Speaking of which, the Bugs Bunny gag these two pulled was hilarious. Just some good stuff to watch. I freakin' love this. Instead of the referee controlling Show, he wants to put some distance since Kofi is a little too crazy. Yeah, cuz Kofi is a menace to society when he's attacking GIANT MEN. During this whole thing, Show sneaks in the KO punch and wins the match. This match made me laugh because of how ridiculous it was. I'm seriously not even mad. I don't know what I've enjoyed more. Randy's lame insults or the referee holding back a paperweight against a giant.

Winner via referee: Big Show

CM Punk comes out and talks about the RR match with the Rock. I'm not gonna go into detail on what Punk or the Rock talked about. If you want to know what they talked about, watch it for yourself. Trust me, that's the best thing you could do. Both promos were amazing. This match was something I really wasn't that hyped up for, but after tonight, Punk and Rock have persuaded me to be involved with this match. They built this up very well. Punk went with the serious approach, while the Rock was comedic in his own right, but got serious when he needed to. I mean, cookie puss? Was that the best you could come up with? Regardless, it worked because Punk had an answer for every one of Rocky's opinions.  I liked this segment because it sold the match for any wrestling fan out there. If you're a casual fan, Rocky set it up perfectly for you. If you're a hardcore fan, I think Punk sold it for you. And when you mix the two together, I think it sells it for just about everyone. Seriously, your arms are too short to box with God? That line was said amazingly. I think that one will be around for a while. From top to bottom, Punk and Rocky set this match up perfectly. I cannot wait until RR. If you haven't seen the promo yet, what the hell is the matter with you? Go watch it NOW!!!

Overall Impression:
I know people will harp about how amazing the ending was and the final segment is what made this a worthwhile episode. I definitely cannot argue that point, but the show also featured some other great stuff. The opening match between Dolph/Cena was a great way to kick off the show. While the show had some throwaway matches, the TLC match was at least enjoyable. The show has plenty of those good and strange comedy elements. I may have joked a little too much over Randy's one-liner, but I simply enjoyed it for just how ridiculous it was. At the end of the day, I'm just here to have a good time. Tonight's Raw definitely kept me very entertained and I seriously recommend you check out this episode. I think they kicked off the build to the RR PPV very well and probably convinced people that were hesitant on the PPV. Well, that's gonna do it for the review and I hope you enjoyed it. The voting for the Best and Worst of 2012 is over. I will be releasing the results, as well as my own personal thoughts, all this month for January. Check in on Sundays to see the multi-parter. Tell me what you thought about tonight's show or the review. I will see you guys and girls in the next one.

WrestlingNerd Presents: WWE Smackdown 1/4/13 Review

What up wrestling fans, I'm the WrestlingNerd bringing you another written review. Today, we take a look at WWE Smackdown 1/4/13. How does the first SD of 2013 fair? Let's find out and start the review.

We open up the show with Randy Orton. He talks about winning the Royal Rumble, but Sheamus has to have the same agenda as well. Big Show talks about cuisine, while Antonio Cesaro talks about Americans. What it all boils down to is a tag team match for later tonight. There wasn't much to report, but at least you get early development in the Royal Rumble match. I love how anybody can say they are in the RR and that's that. Remember when you had to win matches to earn your way in the RR match? Neither do I.

Match #1: Miz vs Heath Slater
For some reason, we get this match because of what happened between Miz and 3MB a month ago at TLC. It's like they're trying to make you care about something that not very many people remember. I completely forgot about this until they showed the recap. Once McIntyre and Mahal get ejected, this match actually turned out pretty well. I was actually surprised by this match. It was given a fair amount of time and Slater looked pretty good. Part of me hopes 3MB will get a bone thrown towards them later this year. The finish comes when Miz hits Skull Crushing Finale for the clean victory.

Winner via pinfall: Miz

Match #2: Khali, Hornswoggle, and Natalya vs Puerto Rican Express
So, how do Khali and Natalya do the….you know…..Anyway, let's move on. Khali and crew win this match. It's a comedy match and we shall move on from it. As I'm writing this, I imagine somebody is raging over Khali's presence.

Winner via pinfall: Khali, Hornswoggle, and Natalya

Match #3: Wade Barrett vs Kofi Kingston; IC Championship
Kofi believes this is last shot to win the IC championship. Yeah, cuz if he loses, he'll end up falling in what I would like to call "The Black Hole of non-thinking" You get this when your creative staff isn't sure what to do with a talent. Instead of doing something right away, you just hang around for a while until they think of something for you. And sometimes, they just won't think of anything for you at all. Once again, we at least get another good match between Kofi and Wade. Kofi came close to winning this match, but Wade was just a little too smart for Kofi. The finish comes when Wade hits Kofi with the Bull Hammer. I hopefully see Wade actually do something with the IC title. It really hasn't meant much for some time and it can use some prestige once more. Hey, I can dream, can't I?

Winner via pinfall and still IC Champion: Wade Barrett

Match #4: Tamina vs Layla
They kinda just stopped Tamina's alliance with Vickie Guerrero. Does anybody even remember that? You can sometimes tell when the creative staff immediately scraps an idea based on what happened to Tamina. She hits the Superfly Splash for the victory.

Winner via pinfall: Tamina

Match #5: Big Show and Antonio Cesaro vs Randy Orton and Sheamus
Love how in the Raw Rebound, they edited out John Cena's screw up of talking about how many relationships AJ had. Cena can only count up to three. Antonio's teaming with an American? Can he do that? The match was pretty fair. The finish comes when Sheamus is about to go for the Brogue Kick, but Randy decides to sneak in the RKO on Antonio. Sheamus didn't look happy about Randy's actions, but decides to pick the bones on Antonio. So, we get a classic example of Randy and Sheamus flexing their muscles to show that they mean business as we start the road to the Royal Rumble. Right now, it isn't clear on who's gonna win this match, but you do have to look at guys like Sheamus and Randy as early favorites for the big event. Right now, I say the top favorite is none other than…..Doink the Clown. I think this is gonna be his year. You just wait and see.

Winner via pinfall: Sheamus and Randy Orton

Overall Impression:
I actually enjoyed tonight's SD. It was mostly a filler show, but the match quality was pretty good for tonight's show. I didn't think they had a lot going on, which is why you had a lot of the matches eat up the time. If we can't get new storylines and/or you're gonna roll out the filler, the least you can do is make out with the wrestling quality. I'll admit the show doesn't have a whole lot to offer, but it's a nice show if you're looking for a distraction. That's gonna do it for the review and I hope you enjoyed it. There's still time to take part in the Best and Worst of 2012, so do so if you haven't taken part. Tell me what you thought of my review or tonight's show. I will see you guys and girls in the next one.

WrestlingNerd Presents: TNA Impact Wrestling 1/3/13 Review (Aces and Rejects)

What up wrestling fans, I'm the WrestlingNerd bringing you another written review. Today, we take a look at TNA Impact Wrestling 1/3/13. The date TNA has hyped up for the last month. Was it worth the hype or a bust? Let's find out and start the review.

We open up the show with the reveal of the TNA Wrestler of the Year. It's funny how their top talents are the same guys I had selected in the TNA Wrestler of the year in my current poll. By the way, if you want to be apart of it, vote today. I have no shame in pointless plugs. Jeff Hardy ends up being the winner since Hardy has proven to us that bland, promo cutters can become the best. As you would've thought, Austin Aries and Bobby Roode have a problem with Hardy winning a meaningless trophy. After some arguing, Hardy pitches a triple threat match for Genesis. Hardy ends up standing tall after the brawl. As I thought for the last couple of weeks, we end up getting a triple threat match for the world title. I personally don't have any issues with this since it looks like it could be fun. Meanwhile, Christopher Daniels and Kaz make fun of James Storm since AJ Styles wasn't available. Although, I would like to add that the Storm impression was pretty hilarious. Are you kidding me? They advertised a Hulk Hogan return? He was gone one week. Do you have any shame in advertising this? I think this was Hogan's call since every time TNA shows his photo, he gets $15,000.

Match #1: James Storm vs Kaz
Despite the interference, Storm wins this match with the Last Call. I'm not really big on this rivalry. It just feels lazily put together. Can I start getting paid for this?

Winner via pinfall: James Storm

Oh wow. Did you see the forced innuendo when the slut of the night touched his beer bottle? You're not even trying to hide things. Well, it seems that Mr. Anderson has decided to join Aces and Eights….I think. Anybody remember the days when Anderson used to be cool and people thought he was gonna be something? His career is going further and further in the sewer lines. After a while down there, it really starts to smell. It amazes me how a group of bikers are afraid of a senior citizen. Doc is calling out Sting, but Sting needs to get a cup of pudding, so a baseball bat falls from the ceiling to strike paranoia. You know, if Doc was any smarter, he would drop the stupid mic and us the bat as another weapon. Instead, he just stares at it. Ohhhh shiny!!! We have to wait a while for Sting's return. I understand what they're trying to do here, but it seems kinda stupid to start the segment just to remind people if they've been asleep for the past month.

Match #2: Christian York vs Kid Kash; X Division Tournament
You know, putting this tournament together would've been a really good idea…..about two weeks ago. Instead, let's put it together at the last moment and completely rush it. Yes, because rushing these things is always a great idea. Plus, it seems redundant to even do this tournament since RVD/Kenny King is the current rivalry. York wins the match. How did he win? I could care less since the match was pretty short.

Winner via pinfall: Christian York

Match #3: Hernandez vs Joey Ryan
Chavo talks about being tough, while Hernandez is making bird calls….

You know, part of me wonders if Hernandez gets neck cramps from carrying his championship belt like a dog tag. It was supposed to be Matt Morgan vs Hernandez, but Morgan appears to have an injury. Seconds into the match, Morgan heals his arm with John Cena's Personal Ointment and takes out the tag champs. I wonder how much longer Morgan and Hogan are gonna continue this schtick. Just f*** so you can get it out of your system already. I actually don't mind this tag team rivalry continuing. It isn't great, but at least it adds something to the tag division. Speaking of which, they need to address that for the new year. They could use some more tag teams….

I mean GOOD tag teams.

Winner via DQ: Hernandez

I hate to burst your bubble, but that isn't yoga, Tazz. She was just simply stretching. I think I'm gonna create one more award for the Best and Worst of 2012. Worst commentator of the Year. Your winner in a landslide is Tazz. Although, Mike Tenay really made a run for the award. Time for the daddy/daughter drama as Hulk calls out Bully Ray and Brooke. Bully admits that him and Brooke are together and he takes full responsibility, so now it's time for Hogan to take action. For some reason, Hogan claims that Bully broke the code. What code? The Bro Code?If Hogan's referring to the code that I think he's talking about, then I don't even know what the hell is going on in the Hogan household. Apparently, its some wrestling code or some crap like that. More like wrestling code logic. Hogan ends up suspending Bully indefinitely without pay. So, heel Bully never got suspended and sent children to hospitals, but good Bully kisses one girl and gets suspended? Okay, just checking. This whole thing is a mess. I just can't get into any of this. I try to be an optimist and wait to see if anything good will come out of this, but it doesn't seem very likely at this point.

Match #4: Gail Kim and Tara vs Mickie James and Tessmacher
Want to know something interesting? This has been the best match so far. I'm not even trying to make a joke here. I'm actually being serious right now. The finish comes when Mickie hits the Delayed DDT on Gail for the victory. I'm guessing Velvet Sky wasn't available because of the car accident she was in.

Winner via pinfall: Mickie James and Tessmacher

Match #5: Aces and Eights vs Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe; Steel Cage match
Have you ever realized that the members to this stable are never consistent? This adds to the reasons that people cannot take these guys seriously. Representing Aces and Eights is Devon and Skull Fat-Man Kid. Doc was keeping Kurt from getting involved for half the match, but Kurt is able to fight back and helps Joe. With the Angle Slam, the TNA guys win the match. After the match, Aces and Eights now have 6-8 members again. They take out Angle and Joe until Sting arrives. I love how they sit there and let Sting attack them one at a time. It's like they're screaming, "Hold it guys. Let's be fair and give him a shot. We don't want to hurt anybody's feelings". Sting's return is about as cliche as you're gonna get. Kurt and Joe are back in the fight and the rest of the Aces and Eights have escaped….except for one guy. Sure enough, they unmask him and it's Mike Knox. Hooray, Mike Knox? Meanwhile, I don't think Mr. Anderson did anything during this brawl. Maybe he was too tired of collecting all those sexual diseases and couldn't be motivated to fight? I really didn't enjoy this segment. Sting's return was as lazy as they could write it. They revealed another member of Aces and Eights, but Mike Knox isn't really that big of a reveal. Seriously, how many of you even remember Mike Knox? Sure, he was in WWE. While in WWE, he did nothing worth mentioning. So far, the best reveal in Card Games has been Doc. That's good and scary at the same time. If Sting would've turned on TNA, the hype would've been worth something. Instead, it's as ordinary as you're gonna get. Think about it? This "1/3/13" hype revolved around Sting unmasking Mike Knox. I'm just gonna let that sit out there while you think about that. Well, I guess the name drop could've been worse. At the same time, I think you're digging pretty deep when you pick up a former WWE jobber that nobody even remembers worked for that company. Plus, it isn't like Aces and Eights is on a role as of late. Why should I care that Mike Knox is the reveal when Card Games has been losing left and right? This stable is completely unthreatening. Whoever is leading this group, he or she is doing the worse job ever. At this point, the only thing that would interest me with Aces and Eights is the reveal of the leader. At the same time, they will probably add to the bulls*** and say Eric Young is calling the shots.

Winner via pinfall: Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe

Overall Impression:
The first wrestling show of 2013 makes me very, very sad. I'm sorry, but I cant approve of this. Outside of the last two matches, the action was pretty lacking for tonight's show. And keep in mind that one of those passable matches was a Knockout match. The opening was at least promising and while there was a few moments of the show making an impression, I don't think they did the best job tonight. I wanted to like this show. I really did, but I can't approve of this. I would be lying if I said I enjoyed it. I just found tonight's show boring and disappointing. The last 2-3 weeks for TNA were pretty decent, but I think they took a couple steps backwards tonight. Well, that's gonna do it for the review and I hope you enjoyed it. Something tells me hardcore TNA fans are probably gonna curse me out. Well, I'm ready for whatever you got. There's still time to vote for the Best and Worst of 2012, so take part if you're interested. Tell me what you thought of tonight's show or review. I will see you guys and girls in the next one.

WrestlingNerd Presents: WWE Raw 12/31/12 Review (New Year's Wrasslin' Eve)

What up wrestling fans, I'm the WrestlingNerd bringing you another written review. Today, we take a look at WWE Raw 12/31/12. With this being the final Raw of 2012, does it end the year with a bang? Let's find out and start the review.

Match #1: Rhodes Scholars vs Awesome Kiddies
We open up the show with Miz TV. It starts off with John Cena talking about Dolph and AJ, but immediately switches over to Rhodes Scholars interrupting the segment. We get a bad example of Cena trying to be funny by making updated sports references and poking fun of Cody Rhodes' mustache. I think Cena's saving up his material for the new year. We end up getting a match because umm…saving up stuff for 2013? Yeah, let's go with that. The match wasn't bad, but it doesn't take long for the enviable to happen. Cena and Miz work together to take out Rhodes Scholars. I don't really have an issue with this. Worse things could've happened. I mean, Cena could start being called the Superman of WWE programming….wait a minute?

Winner via pinfall: John Cena and Miz

Match #2: Antonio Cesaro vs Sgt. Slaughter; US Championship
Antonio is the champion of a pentagon? Wow, this is news to me. The theme of the night is the champions get to choose their opponents. Antonio wanted to fight the symbol of America, but since Captain America wasn't available, we get the Sergeant instead. The match doesn't last very long and it ends with the Neutralizer. Antonio really needs a rival. Sure, they had R-Truth for a while, but I would prefer something that would take a little effort. Since Antonio has this anti-American thing going, how about the Miz? Yeah, I'm sure that could work. If you wanted one last shot for the guy, somebody like Jack Swagger could even work. Hey, it's just a thought.

Winner via pinfall and still US Champion: Antonio Cesaro

Daniel Bryan and Kane wanted to go up against the Shield, but thanks to that tricky, tricky, CM Punk, Ryback has the Shield booked for later tonight. Team Hell No is thinking of another alternative. Well, it just so happens that 3MB want to continue to remain unimportant, so they get the title match. Meanwhile, Big Show wants to continue the Mexican stereotypes and challenges Ricardo Rodriguez to a match. Oh, the loophole that is letting the champions decide their opponents. In fact, I'm kinda disappointed by this. Why not just give Pee Wee Herman a world title match while you're at it? Hey, I would rather watch that than Eve vs Mae Young at this point.

Match #3: Team Hell No vs 3MB; WWE Tag Titles
Despite the disadvantage in numbers, Daniel and Kane work together to take out 3MB with the Flying Goat. Any day now, I expect PETA to call some new type of bulls*** with that finish. Team Hell No really had one hell of a year. Definitely one of my favorite things to watch unfold.

Winner via pinfall and still Tag Champs: Team Hell No

CM Punk brings out his doctor to tell people a full evaluation on his condition. If only people gave a s***. Vince McMahon arrives  and says WWE doctors will evaluate Punk next week and THEY will determine if the match takes place or not. After Pauly goes on a rant about Vince's actions, Vince makes another decision. If Punk isn't able to compete, it will be Paul Heyman vs Ryback for next week. So, I have to bring up how the GM role is unimportant since Vince will occasional make the calls without any rhyme or reason. I think if you look up Vickie Guerrero's job description, it just says "annoyance".

Match #4: Dolph Ziggler vs Sheamus
This match wasn't too bad, but I've seen better Sheamus/Dolph matches. Big E Langston ends up saving Dolph from embarrassment. Just as Sheamus is thinking dark meat, Shield arrives to attack. The injustice Sheamus served was not tanning for the general public. Yeah, the Shield means business when they start targeting this subject.

Winner via DQ: Sheamus

Mae Young is pregnant? I guess the sexual chocolate is back on tour again. Why in the world attempt this? What possible payoff would you expect from this? I'm not even angry about this. I'm just waiting for that train to hit this with force and watch the casualties go up. That's all you can expect at this point. With Eve gloating in the ring, Kaitlyn arrives since she still has some issues to deal with. This pretty much results in a brawl that forces Eve to retreat. I love how Eve is still Booker's assistant since that whole storyline pretty much stopped. You know you've reached a new level of wrestling logic when you write stuff like this. Einstein would lose is damn mind trying to figure how this works. Oh, and Brad Maddox is now in the unemployment line. Despite not having a job, he'll still find a way to make it in the building next week. This is the moment the smarks tell you how Maddox obviously has a job since he wouldn't be there. Learn how to develop a sense of humor. It might make you less cranky.

Match #5: Big Show vs Ricardo Rodriguez; WHC
Can we really call this a world title match? Ricardo got tossed around and the match ended when Alberto Del Rio attacked Show. After the match, Del Rio finishes off Show with a series of kicks. So, it appears that Del Rio's face turn has made him get a future world title shot…..again. I wouldn't be surprised if Del Rio has gotten more world title matches than anyone else in the past two years. I still don't see the big appeal with Del Rio. His wrestling isn't bad and he isn't a bad talker, but he never has anything interesting to say and his feuds are mostly boring. Especially his world title feuds. At the same time, there's something refreshing about Del Rio playing face this time around. It isn't new or exciting, but I find it a little more appealing than Del Rio's previous work. Does anyone else feel like that? I would really like to know what you folks think of Del Rio's face turn. I look forward to the responses.

Winner via DQ and still WHC: Big Show

Match #6: Kofi Kingston vs Wade Barrett; IC Championship
Wade shows off his cunning by basically tricking Kofi to give him this title match. One thing I should address is this rivalry. While I'm not big on the pairing, one positive is the match quality. For the most part, these have been fun matches to eat up some time. I love how all the commentators fail to call the move 'Wasteland'. It isn't his finisher anymore, therefore, it no longer has a name. Wade hits the Bull Hammer and we have a new IC champion. I have mixed feelings on this. While it gives Wade something to do, I still think he's getting underused. I really feel he should be in the main event bracket. At the same time, I would rather see him do something rather than nothing. His first IC championship reign was pretty forgettable, so I hope they can do better a second time around. As for Kofi, it looks like the wildcat needs a tune-up.

Winner via pinfall and NEW IC Champion: Wade Barrett

YES! This is exactly what I want to see on my television. A man looking at Mae Young's baby-maker. Well, the IWC finally got what it wanted. I mean, how in the world can you classify this as being too childish? I love how we get that scene, but only to be followed up with the Christmas episode recap. With all things considered, I thought Del Rio running over Santa was hilarious. People need to chill out and stop taking wrestling so seriously. Yeah, I said it. It's funny that I bring this up since Mae would end up giving birth to Hornswoggle. Well, at least the child doesn't have a high-five on his forehead. Was it stupid? Of course it was. Am I pissed off about it? No because it was a one-shot comedy segment to celebrate the new year. Nothing more and nothing less.

Match #7: Ryback vs Shield
Seconds into the match, Sheamus and Randy Orton arrive to help out. So, it seems like people are joining up against the Shield. I know people would've like to see more Shield tonight, but this is mostly a holiday episode. Because of that, they are mostly gonna wait until next week to get things moving towards the Royal Rumble. It will be interesting to see how the Shield gets used in 2013.

No Contest

Dolph Ziggler and AJ poke fun of Cena until Cena comes out to make jokes about their relationship. After some very good promo work by both guys, the show ends with Dolph and AJ covered up in a big, steaming, pile of bulls***. And I'm being literal right now. Talk about being on the s*** end of the stick. It also gives new meaning to the term 'brown eye'. I personally didn't care for the stunt, but the promos were intriguing enough to not make me care about any of that. Seriously, Dolph and Cena did some good stuff here. Cena also throws his hat in the Royal Rumble match. As the date gets closer, I will give more and more thoughts on the RR match itself. With the way things are looking, I think the RR winner would end up challenging for the WHC. I can't see the winner challenging for the WWE title. After all, why do that when we can give it to a guy who has to make 10-12 appearances for the whole year?

Overall Impression:
I didn't expect much from tonight's episode. After all, it was New Year's Eve and it wasn't fair to expect much. With that said, I thought this was a fair show with all things considered. The matches were at least fair and the show did progress a few of their storylines. Show/Del Rio seems to be the new WHC rivalry. While not the biggest fan of Del Rio getting ANOTHER world title shot, I think Del Rio playing face is fresh enough to at least give a chance. We crowned a new IC Champion tonight that gives me mixed feelings. Still, something about Wade being IC champion seems more interesting than Kofi as champ. The show had some ridiculous moments as well, but I've certainly seen worse from the WWE. Not an amazing episode to close 2012, but a fair episode that's worth a look. That's gonna do it for the review and I hope you enjoyed it. There's still time to vote for Best and Worst of WWE/TNA for 2012. Make your voice get heard and check the bottom links if you're interested. Tell me what you thought of my review or tonight's show. I will see you guys and girls in the next one.

PS: 2012 was a great year for this page. I never thought I would see this much activity on this page. The pageviews I've gotten this year has been ridiculous. I personally don't think I deserve any of this, but I appreciate every single time anybody comes by to take a look. YOU are the reason this page is still going strong. I want to thank each and every single one of you that have given me the chance to be myself and I'll see you in 2013. Happy New Year!!!
